Our founder Wendell B. Reese, graduated for Toronto High School and went to work for the Ohio Edison company in Toronto, Ohio. He started by refurbishing used mobile homes in his spare time and started a small sales lot in Empire, Ohio.

While working at at Ohio Edison and his sales lot, he was called to active duty in the Korean War. Mr. Reese served from 1951-1953 in the United States Army.

On returning from the military, Mr. Reese devoted all his time to his new company, Reese Homes Inc. Since 1957 Reese Homes has grown from a small used home lot to a leader in the manufactured home industry.

Mr. Reese retired in 1999 and now his sons, Wink and Byron, share in the daily operations of the company.
